Dave Slomp
With 25 years experience in the window industry, Dave has honed his skills in various areas including operations, customer service, extrusion, finishing, IT and fabricator management support. His hands-on fabricating experience has been pivotal in business rescue and improvement assignments. Dave maintains a relentless focus on continuously improving quality, service and business processes.
Tony van Maanen
In his role as General Manager – Business Development of OMEGA®, Tony oversees the smooth operation of the business and ensures customer satisfaction by consistently delivering high-quality products on time. With a career spanning the building and manufacturing sectors, Tony brings a wealth of experience to the team.
Alex Holly
Drawing on a technical background and a degree in architecture, Alex brings a unique perspective to his role as Business Development Manager. With experience in structural drafting and as the technical lead for two New Zealand-based building material manufacturers, Alex is responsible for the ongoing development of the OMEGA® brand and fabricator network. His focus includes increasing specifications, ensuring architectural and project compliance, and providing day-to-day support to fabricators.
Derek Fisher
With over 45 years industry experience, Derek has worked in various roles from fabrication on the shop floor to software development. His expertise spans over 25 years of working with V6 software, managing numerous Soft Tech projects globally for clients such as Permasteelisa, Technal, Schuco France and Alcoa. Derek has also played a pivotal role in establishing and operating Soft Tech's development office in India.
Bryce Brougham
With over 35 years industry experience, Bryce has worked in fabrication, factory layout and site installation across New Zealand. For over 20 years, he has been involved in the commercial sector, overseeing key projects from preliminary drawings to detailed shop drawings and installation. Bryce's experience includes liaising with Architects, Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery.
Daniel Karlson
With 18 years of experience in the aluminium window and door industry, Daniel brings a deep understanding of both the extrusion and hardware sectors. He spent 13 years in Australia working across major commercial and residential projects, gaining exposure to a wide range of designs, performance, and installation requirements. For the past 5 years, Daniel's been based in New Zealand — four of those with our parent company, McKechnie Aluminium — where he's continued to expand his technical knowledge and strengthen industry relationships. Now based in Tauranga with Omega, Daniel is responsible for the North Island region, supporting our partners with solutions that combine performance, practicality, and long‑term value.
Mark Clelland
A seasoned professional with extensive experience in operations, project management, sales, and customer service, with a strong background in the glass, signage, and aluminum industries. I have been working in the glass and aluminum sector since 1997, initially in South Africa and for the past 7 years in New Zealand, bringing decades of hands-on industry knowledge. Mark combines advanced business and practical experience to streamline processes, resolve issues, and implement improvements that deliver measurable results.
Kat Richardson
With a background in architecture, interior architecture, photography, and design, Kat supports Omega’s marketing with a strong understanding of design intent and visual communication. Her role focuses on clearly communicating Omega’s systems and values, while supporting both Omega and its Fabricator Network with thoughtful marketing materials and brand presence.
Tim Chapman
Tim brings a wealth of experience to his role as Senior Development Designer, with 21 years of extrusion design from general extrusion’s to full system’s, with additional experience in extrusion tooling design and CNC programing. Tim has spent the last 9 years at OMEGA® specialising in system and hardware design, Flixo thermal calculations and customer specials.
Simon Wall
With over 20 years experience in the fenestration industry across New Zealand and Europe, Simon is a seasoned expert in uPVC and aluminium joinery. He has conducted on-site training for fabricators in New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific region, offering technical support as needed. Simon currently serves as a KTP (key technical person) for McKechnie Aluminium's Test Booth, where he tests and prepares reports demonstrating compliance of window systems with relevant standards.
