To protect the integrity of the powder-coated surface, it's essential to avoid using strong solvents like paint thinners or abrasive cleaners.

Instead, opt for a gentle solution such as a dilution of water and a low pH dishwashing liquid paired a soft cloth or brush. If you encounter paint splashes, mastics or sealants, promptly remove them with care and rinse thoroughly post-application.

Just like any paint film, regular cleaning is key to maintaining the performance of your powder-coated extrusions. Using a soft brush and mild detergent, wash away airborne salts and pollutants every six months for external applications. In high-pollution areas like geothermal, beachfront or industrial zones, increase cleaning frequency to every three months.

If a frame's finish needs refreshing down the track, aluminium window frames can also be repainted by a professional without compromising the underlying joinery.
